We Work For YOU!

General Manager Wendy Cox explains the most important thing everyday at all of The Home Center stores. If anyone knows our companies beliefs and principals, it is her. This is not lip service, we understand that it is all about you! Please contact Wendy if she can ever assist you with anything.

Robert Brice

What do employees do in a furniture store when the owner is not around? Well Robert explains in his video, please do not show this to the owner.

Paul Smith Is Pretty Good

Meet one of the employees of our Moses Lake store, Paul Smith. We love our employees, and their hard work is appreciated. The next time you are in the Moses Lake Home Center store be sure and say hello to Paul, and let him know that you saw him on Youtube. I am not sure that he understood what he was getting himself into when the owner asked him to stand in front of the camera.

A Spinning World

Courage...

“Courage, my friend, it’s not too late to make the world a better place.” - Tommy Douglas -

Courage is something we all posses, and is something we all must apply in our lives. Life is a ball of mystery, a spinning mass of dreams, waiting for us to grab a hold of and take the ride. We are strong, we are able, and we are ready for the next chapter that is upon us.

This day and age there are a lot of things that are keeping us in our homes. Whether it be the lack of hope, faith, or courage, we the people can restore it. We can rise above what the world has spun towards, and come out a head.

As you all most likely know, I am employed here at The Home Center-- a community furniture store! I was given this assignment to write articles on "Changing The Way You Shop Forever" blog, just a few days ago. I thought, huh, what a great opportunity to show some personality. Bring The Home Center to life here on the web!!! I, not only want you, the reader, to know about our stores, but to read down these posts from our fellow Home Center staff, and be inspired. Have your hope restored, give you the courage to express your personality.

I plan to make this blog a "Must See" and I hope you will join me in this journey of discovery! For some of you that already know me, I am a writer at heart- whether I am skilled at it, or not I never let myself get discouraged. It's one of the things that keeps me smiling everyday. Granted I am not accustom to writing with so many eyes following behind me, but that is something I can easy change. Courage! So as you can see I am a pretty lucky person to get a chance to follow my passions. The love for this company, The Home Center, and my love to write! I hope over the next following weeks I can get you all to smile, to join in, to come in, and feel like you are apart of our family!
I urge you to become apart of this swirling world that is upon us,-- join in! Leave me a comment, email, anything that you want. I am interested in hearing from you!!

What to expect from me--Stacy-- in the up coming weeks...
Details about or vender's-- History, when did it all start?-- Words and quotes of the day-- Community events-- What's new with The Home Center-- and last but not least--Sales, add details, and updates!!!!

The "mascot" at The Home Center

We would like everyone to have the chance to meet the mascot at The Home Center. As we believe, we lead the industry in new and innovative ideas on service, selection, and awareness of the customer's need. Please stop by the local Home Center and see the great selection of 2009 furniture, and mattresses.

We would also like an idea for the name that would honor this King

Something to get you all smiling!!

Here at The Home Center we know how to have a good time... Along with our smashing deals we have knee slappin' jokes!!

Here is a joke that I thought you would all enjoy!!

This guy pulls into a crowded parking lot and rolled down the car windows to make sure his dog had fresh air. The dog was stretched out in the back seat, and the guy wanted to impress upon him that he must remain there. The guy walked to the curb backward, pointing his finger at the car and saying emphatically, “Now you stay. Do you hear me? Stay!”

The driver of a nearby car gave the guy a startled look “I don’t know about you, man,” he said incredulously. “But I usually just put my car in park.”
Thank you to: Anonymous

Truckload Of Premium Mattress Sets

The Home Center store in Stanwood put quite a dent in the mattress inventory that we received last week from the factory. Due to the lack of orders at most manufacturing facilities, The Home Center is capatilizing on the huge discounts that Lady Americana has offered us. A new supply of premium products including memory foam, latex and all sizes were just unloaded. We are making deals daily with suppliers on truckload purchases, so do not miss out on some fantastic discounts and chance to save on quality home furnishings and mattresses. Call or stop in to a Home Center location near you and let's keep the economy rolling!

Mattress History *Did you know*

Did you know--
--The first mattress was made from leaves, grass, straw and animal hides?

Did you know--
--1855: Tyler Howe patented the Spring Bed in Spencer, Massachusetts?

Did you know--
--1857: The steel coil spring was invented and is first patented for use in chair seats?
Did you Know--
--1865: The first coil spring construction for bedding was patented?
Did you know--
--In 1885: J.P. Leggett patents improvements to the steel coil bed spring. His innovative method of coupling the springs and attaching them to the wooden bed slats created a successful partnership with C.B. Platt, which eventually became Leggett & Platt Inc.? (Which is the inter spring system used in all of our mattresses we sell here at The Home Center!)
Did you know--
--Memory foam was originally developed by NASA to decrease the very high pressure caused by the extreme g-force occurring during the take-off of the space shuttle.

Here at The Home Center we offer no leaves, or straw, but high quality coil systems perfected by Leggett & Platt Inc., foam (latex- memory) and a soft cotton top! Pillow top, tight top, box top, it doesn't matter-- we have something just right for you!

This month our mattress deals are HOT! Mind blowing if you will. If you haven't stopped in or picked one up, just come on by. The staff here at The Home Center can and will answer any of your questions and are happy to help in anyway!!!
